About us

New Palava is a Yoruba movie  and entertainment platform built for people who love Yoruba movies, the actors, and the industry at large.

We bring movie discovery, reviews, actor profiles, recommendations, rumours, community conversations and audience opinions together in one place. Our aim is simple: make it easier to discover great Yoruba stories, learn about the people behind them and take part in a respectful, lively cinema community.

What we cover

• Movies: discover films, cast information, release details and where to watch when available.
• Actors: explore profiles, filmographies and career information.
• Reviews: read thoughtful opinions and ratings to help you decide what to watch.
• What to Watch: find recommendations worth adding to your watchlist.
• Community: share opinions, recommendations and conversations with other members.
• Rumours and entertainment stories: follow developing conversations while keeping in mind that unverified claims are not established facts.

Our approach

We value accuracy, context and respect. We aim to distinguish confirmed information from opinion, rumour or community discussion, and we encourage readers to consider the source and context of every claim.

New Palava is designed to grow with its audience. If you spot an error, have a useful correction or would like to suggest a story, please contact us.

Built for the community

New Palava is more than a catalogue of movies. It is a place where audiences can discover, discuss, recommend and celebrate Yoruba cinema. We welcome thoughtful participation and expect members to treat one another with respect.

New Palava is owned and managed by Jimoh Ridwan Ademayowa / Jimoh Ridwan Mfa who is Nigerian blogger and content creator.
